Deep legacy expertise, now built to sell at scale

A unique specialist hospitality-to-residential consultancy had genuine, stellar credentials but no commercial engine. Zed partnered with the founders and built the growth foundations, positioning and go-to-market to convert deep expertise into new business.

Challenge

Since 2017 Moricon had built real credentials as a hospitality-to-residential consultancy: pre-opening advisory for addresses such as One Hyde Park and One Grosvenor Square, operational standards for global branded-residence portfolios, and more than 400 mystery-shopping audits across build-to-rent, branded residence and later living. What it lacked was the commercial and marketing infrastructure to grow: no strategic framing, no positioning clarity, and no repeatable way to reach new clients.

Solution

Appointed as growth partner, Zed ran a four-stage programme. Using his proprietary Business Growth Foundations Framework©, he established the founders' purpose, mapped a clear business hypothesis and differentiated value propositions across six buyer personas, tested through product-market-fit interviews. That led to an extensive go-to-market strategy built around the ‘18% Revenue Leak’ market report, a new website, a structured social presence, an eight-module sales playbook, and the ongoing Moricon Relationship Engine©, an authentic, well-sequenced nurture system rather than templated volume outreach.

Results

The ‘Revenue Leak’ campaign drew 60 downloads from a very senior, hard-to-reach audience, after a long spell with no pipeline. Two podcast appearances and early PR gave Moricon earned-media presence in sector conversations for the first time, and both founders now post regularly in their own voice and publish a regular newsletter. The business enters its next phase with a documented go-to-market strategy, six persona value propositions, an eight-module sales playbook and product-market-fit data, the infrastructure to convert relationships into business for the first time.

Questions for you
?

Do you have real, deep sector expertise, but no repeatable way to turn it into new business?

Credibility is not a pipeline. The fix is commercial foundations: targeting only who you serve, what they will pay for, and a nurture engine that runs whether or not you are in the room.
